Our estate vineyard is divided into more than 20 different “blocks,” isolating different varieties, rootstock, soil profiles, and vine age. We know each block well. They all have different personalities and stories, and some are special enough to make into their own wines. Block 3 is the best example of that. Situated on our eastern half, this small block has a rare composition of soil and drainage that produces our most flavorful and complex Cabernet Sauvignon.

The 2017 Block 3 is a powerhouse with great complexity. A floral nose of rose petal and violet abound from the glass and are supported by hints of anise. As the wine opens up on the palate, you’ll experience blueberry and loganberry fruit flavors that fill the mouth and remind you of your favorite blueberry pie. Slowly building on the palate, you will uncover tannins deftly woven together with cola, like pure velvet. An elegant block designate with approachable tannins and a finish begging for another sip.
